Kavira is a full-service virtual primary care clinic. We focus fully on providing the most convenient and highest quality patient care available. To accomplish this, we offer our members on-demand messaging, videochats, and patient house visits. We provide members with physicals, chronic disease management, free labs, imaging, prescription renewals, and referrals to specialists. We do not offer any specialist services. See our services page for a full list of services.

Kavira does not have a physical location – all care is delivered via telehealth and house visits. This allows us to provide more convenient care, at a more cost-efficient price. Currently we are servicing the Twin Cities’ Metro, Saint Cloud and surrounding areas. Reach out to us to learn more about the specific areas that Kavira operates.

No, Kavira is not health insurance. Kavira is great at helping our members maintain and improve their baseline health. However, we encourage all our members to continue to carry health insurance for catastrophic events, as we don’t have the ability to help out with expensive care like surgery, transplants, rehab services, pregnancies, or mental health counseling.
-
Kavira supercharges the health insurance you already offer. Kavira offers convenience (we come to your employees' homes!!), lowers your employees out-of-pocket spend, and saves your business money (we can actually reduce your insurance premiums to offset the cost of Kavira).
-
Kavira costs $27 per employee per month and all dependents are free. After the monthly subscription, Kavira is completely free for employees to use – there are never any surprise bills.
Often insurance companies will lower their premiums when your company implements Kavira, making Kavira completely free to you.
-
Yes! We work with nearly every benefit arrangement, and for most businesses, we are able to save $100s per employee annually on their overall benefits package. Schedule a call with our team to find out how we help companies save.

If you switch to a high-deductible: Many employers will switch to a higher deductible plan and supplement the HDHP with Kavira. This allows the employer to save money with lower insurance costs, essentially making Kavira a free add-on. This allows the employer to offer a better benefit package, while saving their employees money.
If you’re fully-insured: Health insurance companies will actually lower their premiums to offset the cost of Kavira, and then some, making Kavira completely free to you. Over time, as your employees use Kavira, health insurance premiums will continue to gradually go down.
If you’re self-insured: Every visit with Kavira is a claim payout that’s avoided. Most self-insured companies will save money with as little as 5%-20% of care diverted to Kavira.
For all companies: Increasing access to primary care has been shown to make people healthier, reduce chronic disease, and reduce an individual’s health costs over their lifetime
-
To maximize cost savings, we require companies sign-up all employees enrolled in their health insurance plan. There are a couple of exceptions – for instance, employees that live outside of our serviceable area does not need to join Kavira.
-
Managing insurance is expensive, consuming up to 40% of every medical dollar spent. Because of that, Kavira does not accept health insurance. This helps us save, and we pass those savings on to you.
